Wow!! Some awesome news for the Vagrants is that we have been asked by the organisers of Popkomm to do a showcase this year in Berlin. For those of you who don'r know what popkomm is it is the biggest industry showcase and networking event in Europe. For more info go to www.popkomm.de This invitation has come about by our past tours to Europe and the success that we have had all around on these tours. As an extra bonus this year Steve has been asked if he could organise the Australian Showcase as well. So Steve's business ' BlindBeatroot' has decided to host a 3 day event. Yep you read it right THREE days of Australian music in Berlin. So here it is 2008 already and boy have we been slack on updating this!!! Back from tour now and for those of you who received our first newsletter in December you will already know all of our news. For those of you who haven't subscribed yet here is a little of what's happening.... Firstly we need to say a very sad farewell to Gero Schlierkamp who passed away in December in a tragic accident. Gero was an amazingly talented animator and musician for Last Escape in Cologne Germany. Our deepest sympathy is extended to his family and friends. http://www.lastescape.eu/start.html Apart from the tour being AWESOME and all the bands we played with FREAKING FANTASTIC there is not much more I can tell you about it other than we will definately be back this year. So look out for us. Unfortunately we have said goodbye to Jake in January with his last gig being at the Evelyn. What a ride it has been over the past year. Jake has been an inspiration and a great part of the 2007 journey of the Vagrants. Thanks Jake for the fun and good solid rock!!! Good luck in you new endevours. So that means means we have a Welcome to give to Ben Redlich who has taken Jakes place behind the skins. Curious??? Then come to see Ben at his first gig with us at The Cornish Arms Saturday 9th Feb. I'm telling you now there will be lots of giggles with this guy. March this year will see us in the studio recording our 3rd Album. We are all really excited with the new music and hope you will be too when wew release it later this year. A few new songs will be tested at the next few gigs if you are interested in what direction we are taking this time. i We are well on our way now and after many beers, great venues and amazing bands we are still rocking out and having a blast. Rich Webb http://myspace.com/richwebbmusic has been on tour with us now for the last week and it been an honour for us to have him and his band hanging out with us and warming up the crowds with his incredible voice and songs. The Pacific in Groningen is a fantastic Aussie bar with a wild crowd that kept us covered in sweat all night. For anyone looking for somewhere to go in the North of Holland this town is a must. Bamberg once again saw the Vagrants run riot in the local bars with an interesting array of clothes on everyone. Hope you enjoyed the phone call james we got kicked out of the bar after that... don't blame them as the boys were wearing less and less clothing. StrohAlm in Erlangen is a wicked little venue underground in a cave. Wow Wulli you showed us a great night. Rich Webb and Mule kicked off the night for us and we finished up with some serious headbanging. Mule http://myspace.com/mulerockband . We were bown away by your generosity and awesome music. Engel Bar in Schorndorf proved to be one of our biggest nights yet with a full house and plenty of stage diving. Looking forward to playing in Czech. with you next year for sure. Hot Rock in Warendorf showed that we can even rock the punk scene here in Germany. Lhama started the night for us and after some serious head banging and slam dancing we were ready for a crazy drive to Berlin. Plenty of wild rides and a few too many moons to the passing traffic... Hmmmmm Popkomm we are on our way.

Well it has only been a couple of weeks in and the boys are on fire .... So far we have played with some awesome bands, drank loads of beer, almost ran out of diesel for our groovy red van, have 7 of us sleeping on some cool folks floor, Jake giggling uncontrollably under the bed covers, Ben doing the Benny dance, Gumbi watching the wax melt, Stevo driving driving, Renate falling up the stairs, Kurt finding the ladies Oh and did I mention that Andy set his hair on fire!!!!! Pictures to come very soon for that one... Thanks to John for putting up with 7 crazy people staying at his home for a week in Denmark. You are a trooper.. Thanks to Fetish Drums for giving us your entire home for the night in Lübeck and cooking us a great dinner. Expendables .. you guys rock on Currently in Hamburg getting ready for a gig at the Kaiserkeller and a huge thank to Mario for having us all on his floor for a couple of nights. Well folks we are stoked to say that we will be having our final gig before we leave overseas at the Corner Hotel. It will be our official launch for Dirty Little Secrets. Well thanks to the huge talent of Giro Schlierkamp 2 of our tracks from Kharma will be used for 2 of his animated films. We will be launching his new film in Koln, Germany, in September and we will be playing on the night. We will keep you all posted on this one.

For all of you who have been wondering what happened to being on Fat Pizza well it IS happening!!! The episode has been filmed and appropriatley enough the episode is about travelling.... our music will be on 2 episodes in April
